46th Annual Scottish Gathering and Games Salado, Texas

The 46th Annual Scottish Gathering and Games was held on November 9th, 10th, and 11th, 2007, on the grounds of the Robertson Ranch in Salado, Texas.  The weather was pleasantly cool and the attendance was very good.  The MacLeod’s set up two tents along side the McRae’s two tents so there was plenty of room to socialize and attract a lot of visitors.

The MacLeod team won the “Tug of War” contest and holds the trophy until the next competition.  The Dram beauties - Muffee, Sarah Piepgrass and Jackie Sears - entertained at the ceilidh and at the Games.

New members and members who renewed their memberships are:  Bill McCaskill (who is the father of Ross McCaskill, South Central Regional Vice President), Muffee Beaton (one of the Drambeauties), Larry Sears (Past RVP of the South Central Region), Dennis Williamson, David Storm, Jeannine Daigneault and Kelly McLeod.

Larry Sears was surprised with the presentation of a birthday cake to celebrate the big 60.  Good wishes abounded for many more and a good time was had by all.
