28th ANNUAL NORTH TEXAS IRISH FESTIVAL
March 5 - 7, 2010
The North Texas Irish Festival was started in 1983 and is the second
oldest Irish Festival in the country and the largest in the Southwest.
It is held at Fair Park in Dallas, Texas, this year on March 5-7, 2010.
This Festival began just as an Irish celebration but a few years ago it
was opened up for the Scottish Societies to come, set up their tents and
promote the Scottish heritage. It attracted some 40,000 people on
Saturday this year. The Clan MacLeod tent was manned by Doug Beaton,
South Central RAP, and Gloria McLeod, Coordinator. We had many visitors
and enjoyed the festivities. Lori James (McClure) and her son, Jeffrey,
came by and she joined the Society. (Picture Attached).
