For the fourth year, MacLeod members joined the Illinois Saint Andrew Society, the Thistle & Heather Highland Dancers, the Scottish Dog Club and the Antique Car Club of the St Andrew Society. In the Elmhurst, Illinois, St Patrick’s Day Parade. The Parade is the third largest St Patrick’s Day Parade in Illinois. The crowds were huge and we were treated to a great day. With St. Patrick and St Andrew on our side how could we go wrong.

The following MacLeod members participating: John N. MacLeod (USA VP), and wife Judy MacLeod (Recording Secretary) from Naperville, IL. Sandy McLeod and husband Bob J. McLeod (Great Lakes Regional VP) from Darien IL.  Bob McLeod drove his award winning, antique 1951 MG, while his wife Sandy handed out Highland Games fliers. Jean Stein (National Highland Dancers Champion) marched with the Thistle & Heather Highland Dancers and performed during breaks in the parade. Bill G. MacLeod (Illinois Commissioner, USA Internet Editor and Illinois St. Andrew Society Governor) organized the march, wife Pat MacLeod was our picture taker and face decorator from Brookfield, IL. We even had “Nessie” the loch Ness monster marching with us.
