2006 Celtic Heritage Festival Bedford Texas October 14 and 15
The day dawned cool and cloudy with predictions of rain
later in the evening and night. Ross McCaskill, RVP, and Gerald McLeod,
Commissioner, set the tent up on Friday so we would be ready for business on
Saturday. This event was held on the grounds of the Bedford Boys Ranch with
clan tents spread around this large playing field. The Parade of Clans was held
about noon and later there was a parade of dogs with their owners, which was
almost as big as the Clan parade. We had a steady stream of visitors to the
tent and enjoyed visiting with them. Then, as forecast, the rains came and
Sunday was a washout. Ross and Gerald took down the tent and I returned to
Houston. This is a nice event and we hope next year the weather will be more
cooperative.
