Welcome From The Chairman
of
The Dunvegan Foundation

The Dunvegan
Foundation Mission

Thank you for your interest in the Dunvegan Foundation of the Clan MacLeod Society, USA.  The Society is made up of people like you who proudly claim a connection to Clan MacLeod or one of its septs, or are simply interested in that heritage.

One of the ways we support this heritage is through the Dunvegan Foundation, the mission of which is to preserve, protect and promote the unique heritage of the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, as reflected through the history and migration of Clan MacLeod, by pooling our resources as a tax-exempt organization, to enable the support of activities which further these goals.  To do this we seek annual, deductible donations from members who wish to assist in this mission, give memorials for loved ones who have passed on, or because of a specific interest in one of our projects

Our wide-ranging program includes long-term relationships with the Duirnish Parish Church in Dunvegan Scotland and the Iona Community in Scotland.  On this side of the Atlantic, we support Gaelic language programs and traditional Scottish music of pipes, drums, fiddle and harp. Other grants go to libraries at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, Clan MacLeod Rare Book Collection at the Taos Public Library, New Mexico and the Ellen Payne Odom Genealogy Library in Moultrie, Georgia.
